Guidelines for Contributors

To create a new post, click on ‘Site Admin’, then you should have the option to write an entry.

If you want to tell the world about a pie you’ve made, take one or more photos of the pie and write up an entry describing the ingredients and how you made the pie. If you don’t remember the exact ingredients you used (like me, I tend to improvise a lot), just give rough guidelines. Once you’ve finished typing everything up, put it in the ‘Pie Projects’ category, add the main ingredients (excluding pastry) of the pie to the ‘tags’ section, then click ‘Publish’.

If you have tried someone else’s pie from the blog, and would like to post your thoughts on it, set the category to ‘Pie Reviews’.

If you want to right a story about pie, put it in ‘Pie Fiction’.

It would be nice if in any of your posts where you make reference to another pie on the blog to provide a link to that pie within the text. Links can easily be created by highlighting text, and using the link button in the tool bar of the text editor. Or if you prefer, you can type your entries in HTML.

When uploading photos of your delicious pie, please use the ‘Add media’ section above the tool bar and upload your images instead of linking to images from photo hosting sites or whatever. This will speed up the time it takes to download images.

Please also use the Insert More Tag icon in the tool bar after the first paragraph or so of text (or after the first picture). This is just to keep the front page a little more tidy.

If you’ve made a post that I deem to be ugly, I’ll probably edit it just to tidy up the formatting, but I won’t change any of the content itself.

Yours in all great pieness,

El Cucurucho
